Walter is ready to be a two year old. He can say his name...his version developed from Walty to Walta, now Walter. He also came up with a new phrase in the crib last night..."watch dis" then proceeded to attempt a summersault.

remarkable Walter

I thought I should record these things before they are lost in the haze of parenting. Walter seems to do some remarkable things, at least I think they're remarkable. One example is that from a young age, maybe 6 months, Walter plays catch. Not in the baseball glove kind of way, but he can pick up a tennis ball and wave his arms, timing the release from his hand to make it fly off. I then gather up the ball and toss it back to him and he does it again. In this way we can play catch.

Walter Walks!

Just kidding, but Walter is crawling. It's kind of a jiggly-jiggly-thrust movement, but he's getting it. And he certainly gets around. For a while he would kind of throw himself forwards, then sit up and repeat to get were he wants. It's only a matter of time before he's keeping up with his big brother.

Walter's First Day

Walter had his first day at Springtime Daycare Monday 3/29. Simon was very helpful and excited about Walter joining him at school. There is a big window on the outside of the baby room were the big kids can look in on the babies. Simon had his whole class lined up outside the window to look in at his baby brother. The nursery ladies held him up to the window so they could all have a good look.
